Sr. of Yaphank, who has a Brookhaven
Town Justice of the Peace in 1937 launched a campaign that led to the
closing of camp Siegfried, operated by the German-American Bund, died
here yesterday in the South Shore Convalescent
Home. He was seventy years old.
Born in Brooklyn, he came to Yaphank twenty-three years ago. He
was Democratic Committeeman in his home district for many years and he was
elected for Justice of the Peace in 1933.
He leaves a daughter, Olive

of Yaphank; three sons, William of
Easton, N. J.,
Gustave
Jr. of Yaphank, and Henry of
Clifton, N.J., and a sister Augusta, of Yaphank.
