Azel R. Sweezey

 

    Middle Island, L. I., June 17—The funeral of Azel R. Sweezey was held from his late residence yesterday afternoon.  He was a descendant of Stephen Sweezey, the founder of the hamlet of Sweezeytown, a suburb of this place.  He was an enterprising farmer and a patriotic citizen, and for thirty-five years was sexton of the Presbyterian Church here.  He was 81 years of age and leaves a family of five sons and two daughters.
